Six quick dental tips

  1. Soft bristle toothbrushes.   Soft bristle toothbrushes are best because they do not cause gingival recession
  2. Discard brushes after sickness.   Toothbrushes can have microbal buildup, which can cause sickness to reoccur.
  3. Don’t brush too hard.     Over brushing can erode enamel and irritate gums. After time it can cause an increase sensitivity and recession of the gums.
  4. Drink lots of water.   Water is not only important for overall health, but it encourages saliva production which is important for healthy teeth.
  5. Brush and floss twice a day.    Well you should brush at least once a day twice is best. The best time to brush is after each meal and you should also floss at the same time. Brushing your teeth for two minutes and making sure that you cover all of your teeth will get you the best results.
  6. See your dentist every six months!    When you visit your dentist regularly it gives them a chance to check for cavities, the overproduction of plaque and any other dental issues that you may have questions about.
